Xi'an lights up to celebrate Chinese New Year

On the evening of 8th February , “Modern Chinatown” in Datang Culture and Art Leisure Area of Xi'an, Tang Paradise, Daming Palace and City Wall Scenic Area in Qujiang New District all lit up to celebrate the Xiaonian Festival, the 23rd day of the year's last lunar month. This unique light show included four display areas with different themes, and more than 20 units of display lights .In this show ,glasses-free 3D light show was exhibited. The so-called "China Largest Drum ", which was 30m in diameter and 20m high , was also lit up .

The light show started 2018 Spring Festival Celebration Events named“Xi'an Nian, China Zui”and Folk Culture Exhibition For A New Era. Xi'an took this opportunity to send invitation to people all over the world and invited them to enjoy the atmosphere of Chinese New Year in Xi'an with a long history and profound cultural connotations. This light show also made Xi'an citizens and tourists feast their eyes.

After this light show,“Xi'an Nian, China Zui”will continue to hold other high-quality celebrations with creative designs and good experiences for participants. The series of celebrations will be able to increase the cohesion of Xi'an citizens and to enhance the popularity of Xi'an among tourists from other places .Moreover, as China is trying to restructure its economy by putting more emphasis on quality rather than quantity and speed, these innovative celebrations will not only show the cultural forces of Xi'an, but also will make Xi'an take a solid step toward the goal of becoming a world-renowned capital of cultural creation and a world-renowned capital of  tourism and fashion.

On the evening of 8th February, Beijing, Shanghai and other 9 cities also made their top tourist attractions light up to cheer for Xi'an.
