Jiangxi Tiger Snatches Gold in the Professional Men’s 100-meter Race at Fuzhou Leg of China Dragon Boat Tournament

The 2018 China Dragon Boat Tournament (Fuzhou leg, Fujian) kicked off on June 17^th with 45 dragon boat teams from all over China splashing down in the waters of Fuxia River at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition center. The first day of the competition witnessed the awarding of five gold medals. Jiangxi Tiger took the crown in the professional men’s 100-meter race, while Lecong Louvre and the teams representing Northeast Electric Power University and Liaocheng University also won the first prize in their respective groups.

Fuzhou is the fourth leg of the 2018 China Dragon Boat Tournament. As the competition in Fuzhou falls on the day of the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, it has been the most popular and anticipated event throughout the year. Five different races were on the card the first day. Jiangxi Tiger beat Lecong Louvre as the first to cross the finish line in the professional men’s 100-meter race with a record-setting time of 20.914. (Kevin)
