The protagonist of this episode is Stef Oerlemans from Netherland. He is a student studying performance in Beijing Film Academy. Stef has severe phonological dyslexia. He couldn't read Latin letters, and couldn't go to school as a result. When he realized that he could read Chinese characters, the idea of going to China came to his mind. When Stef was 19, he suffered from a serious traffic accident, but the accident didn't defeat him. Instead, it strengthened his conviction to go to China. "I didn't want to leave any regrets in my life, so I decided go to China for study," said Stef. Stef loves acting. He believes that he can experience different aspects of human life through acting. Therefore, he has set a goal to study in Beijing Film Academy.

In May, 2017, Stef came to China, started learning Chinese formally and prepared to apply for the study in Beijing Film Academy. Although his pronunciation was not very good at first, he still insisted on practicing oral Chinese with his friends. He even asked teenagers to teach him Chinese, and listened to stories together with them. Now Stef can even say idioms like “隐隐约约”('indistinct' in English).

During his time in China, Stef got hooked on Chinese Kong Fu. He said: "I like Chinese Kong Fu very much. Now I'm learning Baji, a kind of Chinese Kong Fu that I could only see on TV before, and I'm getting healthier and healthier by learning Baji." Stef often goes to the entrance of Hutong or the square near his apartment to practice Baji Boxing. When he meets other Kong Fu players, he learns Kong Fu skills from them. He said: "I want to study acting and improve my Chinese Kong Fu skills. I have so many dreams to fulfill in China. China is a special place to me. If possible, I want to stay in China for a lifetime."
