“Tour to Shaanxi by 1000 British Tourists & Tang Dynasty-style City Greeting Ceremony” Held in Xi'an

On the evening of September 12th, 2018, the “Tour to Shaanxi by 1000 British Tourists & Tang Dynasty-style City Greeting Ceremony”, one of the key activities of “Tour to Shaanxi by 1000 British Tourists”, was hosted by the Shaanxi Tourism Development Committee at the south gate of Xi'an City Wall. Under the guidance of a person who played the part of the diplomat of Tang Dynasty, the first batch of over 500 tourists from the UK passed through the Yongning Gate Suspension Bridge of Xi'an to reach Yuecheng. Then the event kicked off. Wendy Wu, Chairman of Wendy Wu Tours Group, a UK company, Joe Karbo, CEO of Wendy Wu Tours Group, and other british tourists and merchants were deeply impressed by Shaanxi’s thousands of years of history and culture through the wonderful Tang Dynasty-style ceremony "Welcome to Glorious Age of Tang Dynasty" and the following shows.

This ceremony, a highlight of “Tour to Shaanxi by 1000 British Tourists”, will help Shaanxi and Wendy Wu Tours company from the UK better play the role of “showcasing Shaanxi Tourism” and further improve the overseas promotion of Shaanxi tourism. The tourists from the UK were deeply impressed by the Tang Dynasty-style guest greeting ceremony, the unique and magnificent natural scenery, and the profound cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province, which further lay a solid foundation for strengthening the tourism and cultural exchanges between the two countries. In the following September, Shaanxi will welcome about one thousand British tourists who will experience Shaanxi culture, enjoy Shaanxi cuisine, and learn more about Shaanxi history.
