There are a group of young people from the Belt and Road countries. They are studying, traveling, working, or living in China, and therefore bound up with China. They have been witnessing the rapid change of China, sharing their own stories about China with others, and praising China for its change.

Recently, CRI Online has been releasing a series of news reports, Youth along the Silk Road Praise China, to listen to these young people's stories about China.

The protagonist of this episode is Sangeet Sangroula, a young student from Nepal. His Chinese name is Li Haoxuan and he is studying for the master’s degree in global business news in Tsinghua University. He was a journalist before coming to China. In 2017, Li Haoxuan was a correspondent of the Republica Daily and participated in the reporting of many great events in China.

Li said,“Nepal is a landlocked country . The country's highway and railway network is yet to be improved, hence restricted exchanges between Nepal and China. The Belt and Road Initiative has contributed to increasing exchanges between Nepal and other countries apart from China, and Nepal is gradually turning from a land-locked country into a land-linked country.”Li believes that the construction of cross-border highways and railways will promote trade between Nepal and China and enhance the growth of Nepal.

Li deems that improved infrastructure will result in a series of great changes and enhance the development of all areas in a country or region. Li said,“Nepal used to have only one international airport in the capital Katmandu. Now Nepal is cooperating with China and a new airport is being built in Pokhara. This will attract a great many tourists to Pokhara.”
