There are a group of young people from the Belt and Road countries. They are studying, traveling, working, or living in China, and therefore bound up with China. They have been witnessing the rapid change of China, sharing their own stories about China with others, and praising China for its change. Recently, CRI Online has been releasing a series of news reports, Youth along the Silk Road Praise China, to listen to these young people's stories about China.

The protagonist of this episode is Muhammad Ammar, a young researcher from Pakistan. He graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology and is now developing the semi-physical simulation system and UAV and doing other research in a high-tech company in Beijing.

Ammar has been in China for 13 years already. He said, “For me, going back to Pakistan is more like going abroad than going to China. Pakistan is one of the first countries to echo the Belt and Road Initiative. It offers a once-in-a-lifetime development opportunity for Pakistan.”

The Belt and Road Initiative has promoted the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The corridor has, in turn, greatly enhanced Pakistan’s growth. “China helps Pakistan improve its infrastructure. This means that China brings far more than economic benefits to Pakistan,” said Ammar.

Ammar said, “Before the Belt and Road Initiative was brought up, Pakistani youths had just a few job offers and opportunities for further education. The initiative and the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor have enhanced cooperation between the two countries and more Pakistani youths have got the opportunity to study and work in China.” In his spare time, Ammar has been serving as a volunteer for Zhongguancun Belt and Road Industrial Promotion Association, helping foreign students in China find good jobs. He has been tirelessly offering service and takes great pride in it.

“My company is also actively echoing the Belt and Road Initiative and will offer the research platform for schools and research institutes in Pakistan and other Belt and Road countries.” Ammar hopes that he himself will have the opportunity to, together with youths from other countries, contribute to the implement of the Belt and Road Initiative.
