Charming Beijing event was held in Trinidad and Tobago

On March 1, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism held the Charming Beijing special promotion event was held in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Randall Mitchell, Tourism Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Susan Shurland, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Community Development, Cultural and the Arts, Zhang Lei, Charge d' affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Trinidad and Tobago, and Song Yu, director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural and Tourism and General Secretary of World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) attended the event. Over 150 local traveling salesmen and media workers participated in the event.

After the promotion event, Song Yu and other guests together attended the photo exhibition of Beijing tourism, and participated in the interactive activity about Beijing culture and tourism. The splendid photos delivered Beijing's traditional imperial culture and charming image as a modern metropolis to the guests.

In addition, during the visit in Trinidad and Tobago, Song Yu and Randall Mitchell had deep conversation, and conducted communication about Beijing outbound tourism market. Song also invited Mitchell to the 2019 Fragrant Hill Tourism Summit held in Helsinki, Finland. Beijing delegation also held talks with three Trinidad and Tobago representatives who have joined in WTCF last August, including Kelvin Charles, Assemblyman of Tobago House, Nadine Stewart-Philips, Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation at the Tobago House of Assembly, and Kevin Pascall, Protocol officer of the Tobago House of Assembly. The topics were about developing the mutual cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism.
