The 15th Wuhan Universities Arts Festival kicked off

Recently, the 15th Wuhan Universities Arts Festival kicked off at South-Central University for Nationalities in Wuhan, Hubei province.

With the theme of 'Dream Chaser, Youths in New Era', the arts festival has been divided into competition and performance two parts, including six programs: stagecraft competition, painting and calligraphy competition, photography competition, intangible cultural heritage in universities, classical operas in universities and universities arts in communities. In addition, aiming at eulogizing the new era spirit on arts field, the arts festival will especially focus on works and subjects related to the 70th anniversary of the founding of PRC, the 7th CISM Military World Games and others.

The competition events including stagecraft, painting and calligraphy, and photography consist of three processes: collection, competition, display. Three performance events include 10 special lectures by intangible cultural heritage experts, 20 performances by professional teams in universities and 15 arts showings by universities in communities. The arts festival will last to December, 2019 and excellent works will be collectively displayed on its closing ceremony. Besides, college students in Wuhan are accessible to send their original works and participate in the competitions from April 19, 2019.
