Chongqing 18 Steps Traditional Landscape Block has been through two years' preservation and restoration. Recently, the restoration has been completed. In the display zone, the buildings scattered on both sides of the stairs have been built along the hillside. Various mountainous architectural techniques such as placement in layers have been adopted, which shows the images and characteristics of folk houses in Bayu Area.

Chongqing 18 Steps is an old street that connects the upper and lower side of the city. Many of the buildings alongside are stilted buildings and old Bayu folk houses, which show the unique landforms and architectural features of Chongqing as a mountain city.
