Accelerate the Process of Internationalization Sichuan Carries out a Number of Convenience Measures for Entry and Exit

June 5th, Sichuan launched a number of immigration measures to provide convenient services for the staff who participated in China's “Belt and Road” major events, important meetings and key projects.

The specific measures are: the people who are invited to China to participate in the “Belt and Road” major events, important meetings and key project construction, and the people whose Chinese visa is not completed due to urgent reasons can apply for a port visa with the Chinese authorities' certification materials. And if their spouses and minor children need to stay in Sichuan, the Sichuan Provincial Exit-Entry Administration will issue a residence permit for them within 5 working days. The people who come to Sichuan for emergency reasons, and didn’t complete the entry visa at the Chinese embassies and consulates abroad can directly submits a port visa application to the exit and entry administration department of the city (state) public security organ, and issues a port visa when entering Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.

In addition, the Sichuan Exit-Entry Administration Department equipped two self-service check-in machines at the exit check-in hall of the T1 terminal of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, providing 24-hours Hong Kong and Macao tourism re-endorsement service, and adding QR code scanning code payment on the self-service check-in machines.
