Henan's implementation of the rural revitalisation strategy: provide Chinese plan on rural development to the world

On June 28, the special promotion conference of Henan's Achievement in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era was held in Lankao County, Henan Province, China. Themed on 'rural revitalisation', the promotion conference has introduced the significant decision China has made to promote the development of rural areas, agriculture, and the quality of farmers' lives and to win the poverty alleviation campaign. The conference has also provided Chinese plan on rural development based on the practice and the achievements Henan has made.

The issue of rural areas, agriculture, and farmers has significant influences on the long-term development of many different countries and regions. Henan, as a province of agriculture in China, the modern agriculture and the rural landscape of which have been booming and changing continuously in recent years, as well as the remarkable improvement of farmers' life quality. For instance, Chongdu Gou in Luoyang Luanchuan County has been developing rural tourism based on its ecological advantages, Kaifeng Lankao County has been accelerating rural revitalisation through discovering the value of paulownia tree, and Xinyang Haotang Village has been developing ecological and beautiful countryside by protecting its lucid waters and mountains. These stories have delivered the efforts Henan has made to develop agriculture, beautify rural areas, and increase the wealth of farmers.

The development of rural areas in Henan is the microcosm of the vigorous development of Chinese economic society. During the event, participants have visited Henan and had a closer look at the tremendous change of Chinese countryside under the rural revitalisation strategy. The participants were all amazed by the achievements China has made during the poverty alleviation campaign, and they believed that the valuable experience China had gained were worth learning for the world.
