Fencing Test Event of the 7th CISM World Games kicked off

On July 10th, Fencing Test Event of the 7th CISM World Games and 2019 National Fencing Invitation Tournament kicked off in Wuhan City Polytechnic of Hubei Province. The test event was organized by the executive committee of the 7th Military World Games and Chinese Fencing Association and hosted by the fencing competition committee of the 7th Military World Games.

The fencing event was organized in accordance with the latest regulations of the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (FIE) and CISM Fencing regulations. Both men and women will compete in the fencing competition with the following 12 disciplines: epee in men's and women's individual and team, foil in men's and women's individual and team, and saber in men's and women's individual and team. A total of 142 athletes (66 men, 76 women) in 6 teams from Hubei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Tianjing were invited for the competition. This 3-day event will award 36 medals, 12 of which are gold.

On July 10th, Wang Le, from Xiaogan, Hubei Province defeated Hou Xinyu who was in Shandong team and won the champion of men's individual in saber; besides, the top three of men's and women's individual in epee and saber were awarded.
