Recently, Chongqing ‘Post Culture·Post Scenery’ large-scale cultural tourism promotion activity launched Yubei. Yubei District series of reports on ‘Post Culture·Post Scenery’ show Yubei District historical and cultural heritage and urban style.

Yubei District has a long history of Market Town Culture, and Yubei District Longxing Ancient Town with a history of 600 years is a typical representative. Longxing Ancient Town is an important trading town in the region where Yubei District is located in history. Businesses gather in the business street of the ancient town with a length of more than 1000 meters, and various characteristic shops such as painting and calligraphy academies and cultural and creative products shops are in great abundance. Most of the buildings in Longxing Ancient Town adopt the construction techniques of Chongqing traditional folk houses. The buildings have black tiles on the inclined roof and wooden carvings and decorations on the doors and Windows.

The numerous ancestral halls in the old street are one of the characteristics of Longxing Ancient Town. Longxing Ancient Townis rich in cultural heritage, with more than 70 cultural sites. Typical buildings include ancient temples, ancient stockades, memorial temple and old street dwellings. The old streets of the ancient town are dotted with century-old taverns, pharmacies, wineries and other shops. Residents are sitting at home chatting and playing CARDS, all of which have become the most vivid cultural inheritance carriers of Longxing Ancient Town.
