Chongqing Bashu Secondary School Symphony Orchestra: Showing the elegant demeanor of Chongqing students to the world

Under the organization of Chongqing Bashu Secondary School, a group of children who love music set up a symphony orchestra. From special concert to national art performance, Carmel Bach Festival to the 6th World Orchestra Festival, this group of "little musicians" have shown their elegant demeanor to the world.

Established in 2007, Chongqing Bashu Secondary School Symphony Orchestra is the first symphony orchestra composed of middle school students in Chongqing. By now, they have approximately 80 students from Junior Grade One to Senior Grade Two. They have obtained the First Prize in the 5^th and 6^th Art Performance of Middle and Primary School Students, Silver Award at the 78^th Carmel Bach Festival in 2015 and Gold Award at the 6^th World Orchestra Festival in 2018. They participate in the new term concert every semester and have held New Year Concert at Chongqing Grand Theatre for six years.

It is worth mentioning that, at the closing ceremony of the 6^th World Orchestra Festival held in 2018, they played Jubilance for Sunshine at the Golden Hall in Vienna, a folk song of Chongqing, showing the charm of Chongqing music to the whole world.
