Chongqing super high-rise project design results debuted in Dubai Conference

Recently, “Iconic Global Structures – What Can We Learn?” Conference was held in Dubai. At the conference, Professor Ding Jiemin of Tongji University introduced the design achievements of a number of Chinese skyscraper projects such as the Chongqing SUNAC A-ONE project, which attracted the attention of the construction industry and local media. The conference aims to bring together authoritative structural engineers, architects and project participants from all around the world to conduct case studies and explore different international design and construction needs.

It is understood that the SUNAC A-ONE project is the first super high-rise project created by Sunac China Holdings Limited. The project is located in the Jiangbeizui region of Chongqing. It consists of a 103-storey, 470-meter skyscraper super high-rise main tower and three super high-rise towers, forming a super high-rise building cluster. After the completion of the project, it will refresh the record of the tallest building in Chongqing and be listed in the top 20 highest building rankings in the world.

Ding Jiemin introduced that Chongqing is located in the intersection of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River, and has given birth to a unique history and culture. In this project, the designers are committed to demonstrating Chongqing's unique natural features through architectural language. The bottom of the project building is an overhead structure, which combines public landscapes such as parks and pools to form an open urban public space. “Considering the energy consumption and safety of skyscrapers, the project design goal is international advanced green low-energy environment-friendly buildings, using a variety of high-performance energy-saving measures to achieve an ecological, humane office and hotel environment.” Ding Jiemin said.
