Jiang'an District praised as the core of Wuhan

A few days ago, a forum "Influence of the District" of Jiang'an District kicked off at the former site of Liddell Bros, Packing Plant in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Experts and scholars in sociology, public relations, history and other fields gathered to discuss the influence of the district in the new era, and how to furtherly improve the image of Jiang'an District.

How to be qualified as the core of a city? Xue Bingwang, a master supervisor in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, believed that the core of city must be eligible in geography, politics, economy and culture.

According to his analysis, in geographical aspect, Jiang'an District is located in the core of Hankou; in political aspect, it is an information center of Wuhan City because Wuhan municipal authorities are located here; in economic aspect, it is the district with GDP of hundred billion yuan, ranking the top in Wuhan City. Its financial industry zone has become one of the most dynamic regions in Wuhan and central China as well; in cultural aspect, as the starting point for the modernization of Wuhan, Jiang'an District has become one of the finest places to hold culture and tourism activities because of its unique charm combining with western and oriental culture, historical architectures with exotic features, and diverse celebrities and theme events.

"We can see that Jiang'an District is eligible in those four aspects, so it's qualified to be 'the core of Wuhan', and such a call can be agreed and spread in academia and theoretic field," said Xue Bingwang.
