Recently, Wang Shumin, ICU head nurse of the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu City, Henan Province, China, as usual, put on a green nurse uniform, a disposable round cap, and a mask. She began to examine the bedding of the patients, help the patients turn over, and monitor their breathing and oxygen supply equipment... Despite being busy, Wang Shumin still gave meticulous care to the patients. "In ICU, nurses not only need to provide treatment to patients, record the condition data, but also take care of the details of life such as food and clothing of patients." Wang Shumin said.

In recent years, the first people's Hospital of Shangqiu City takes the treatment of acute and critical diseases and difficult and miscellaneous diseases as an important strategy, attaches importance to the discipline construction, and has successively established six critical medical wards (PICU, ICU, RICU, CCU, EICU, NICU), making the system of critical care discipline increasingly perfect.

Relying on years of accumulation, the hospital has created a team with manpower, material resources, technology and ability. On February 21, the 11th batch of medical team from Henan Province, headed by Han chuanen, President of the First People’s Hospital of Shangqiu City, rushed to Wuhan for rescue. During the 39 days of aiding Wuhan, the team members relied on their skilful skills, teamwork and professionalism to protect the people's safety and health.
