Interview Activity Aims to Lift Spirits up in Shaanxi

The "Build New Dreams, Pass the Flame - Multilingual Interviews in Shaanxi" activity was launched on August 20, 2020 in Xianyang High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

In his speech, Director Bao Yongneng of the Shaanxi provincial cyberspace administration suggested that advancing economic prosperity and improving internal circulation in China under the enormous impact of COVID-19 is a tough task that requires people to remain true to their original aspiration and keep their mission firmly in mind. He expected the interview activity, which is focused on outstanding people from different sectors across the province and their stories and aimed at promoting the national spirit, the revolutionary spirit and the spirit of the times shown by them, will help further enhance public confidence, foster public consensus and highlight "struggle" as the main theme of Shaanxi's efforts to "catch up and surpass" in the new era.

The activity, held in honor of the 100th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China, will showcase historical achievements in Shaanxi's economic and social development in recent years and publicize outstanding people from different industries in the province and their stories. From August 2020 to July 2021, reporters will visit 11 places in Shaanxi and conduct interviews centered on topics including the Yan'an spirit, the "westward relocation spirit," the spirit of Zhao Mengtao, the spirit of Liu Qing, the spirits of the Yellow River, the spirit of the Torchlight Program as well as the spirits of China's oil and space industries, all aimed at spreading positive energy in society.
