Zhangjiakou released the emblem of the 2021 FIS Freestyle Ski, Freeski & Snowboard World Championships

Zhangjiakou released the emblem of the International Ski Federation(FIS)Freestyle Ski, Freeski & Snowboard World Championships 2021 in the morning of March 18th. It is understood that the FIS Freestyle Ski, Freeski & Snowboard World Championships 2021 will be the first FIS World Championships hosted in China. It also serves as the test event with the longest time, the largest scale, the most events and the highest level for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The event will be held on February 18-28, 2021 at the Genting Snow Park, Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province and Shougang Industrial Park, Shijingshan District, Beijing.

Zhangjiakou started the logo design effort in March 2019, with the Academy of Art & Design, Tsinghua University as the design unit. Through this team's modification and improvement for several times, the design scheme of the emblem was finally determined.

Guo Ying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhangjiakou Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Zhangjiakou Municipality, delivered a speech at the news conference. "The emblem highlights the cultural heritage and urban characteristics of the host city Zhangjiakou, and fully expresses the ardent expectation of the 4.65 million people of Zhangjiakou for the world championships."

Sarah Lewis, Secretary-General of the International Ski Federation, delivered a speech for the issue of the emblem design. She said, "Today is an important landmark for the FIS Freestyle Ski, Freeski & Snowboard World Championships 2021 with the launch of the official emblem. It shows the world-famous Great Wall, mountains and rivers, snow and the vitality of the World Championships. This event will be a tremendous catalyst for the growth of winter sports in China."

Hui Jian, Secretary of the CPC Zhangjiakou Municipal Committee , Wu Weidong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhangjiakou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Zhangjiakou Municipality, Li Li, deputy director of the Zhangjiakou Operation Center of the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Guo Ying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhangjiakou Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Zhangjiakou Municipality, Wang Biao, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhangjiakou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC Chongli District Committee, and Gao Feng, member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General attended the news conference.
