On May 9th, the third session of the 13th people's congress of Sichuan province opened in chengdu. Christopher Lim, consul general of the Australian Consulate-General, Chengdu, attended the first plenary meeting. After the meeting, Christopher Lim was interviewed by the China Radio International Sichuan channel.

Sichuan provincial government proposed its government work report in 2020 that it would comprehensively promote the construction of the chengdu-chongqing economic circle. "This is also an opportunity for Australia to expand its cooperation with Sichuan, we hope that Australia and Sichuan can strengthen cooperation in urban planning, infrastructure and talent training." Christopher Lim said.

"Sichuan will fully promote the construction of the chengdu-chongqing double-city economic circle, which will give impetus to economic development and form a new pole of growth. In addition, a series of economic stimulus policies are included in the 2020 government work report of the Sichuan government, which set a target for Sichuan's GDP in 2020: two percentage points higher than the national growth rate." Christopher Lim said that he is full of confidence in Sichuan's economic revival and sound development after listening to the work report of the Sichuan provincial government.
