Foreign participants learned intangible culture heritages and how to make “Zongzi” to celebrate the Dragon Boat festival in Banan district, Chongqing

On June 24th, the “Foreigners @Chongqing Rural Area Visiting” Dragon Boat Festival special event was held in Fengsheng Town, Banan District. More than 50 foreign participants that came from 18 different countries have experienced traditional cultures of the Dragon Boat Festival and the result of rural areas rebuild events in Banan district thoroughly.

At the “Shiquantang” Hall, all foreign participants learned how to make “Zongzi”, a traditional Chinese rice pudding-like food that people eat during Dragon Boat Festival, and they were amazed by local people due to their skill and speed.

At the launching ceremony, foreign students of Chinese intangible culture heritages finished their apprenticed event with their masters and became the first batch of the “Foreign students” of them.

After the ceremony, all foreign participants went to the “colorful forest” to experience the result of rural areas rebuild events in Banan district, then they tried tomato picking at the Zairun Farm.

The event will hold every weekend until September, during the event, participants can also take pictures, make vlogs, and write travel notes to join a competition. Foreigners who interested in the event can send an email to bntqw@126.com or call 66231839 to sign up for future events.
