With the theme of climate change and green recovery, the 5th Handle Climate Change Film Festival was held in Shenzhen, China.
The event is hosted by China Association for Science and Technology with Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. The event is organized by Publicity Department of Shenzhen Committee of the Communist Party of China, Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, SCRTTSB (Shenzhen Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau), Shenzhen Education bureau, and Innovative Research Institute of Science Popularization, Shenzhen(Shenzhen Handle Capital Cultural Investment Co., Ltd.).
The 5th HCCFF Opening Ceremony
The theme of Handle Climate Change Film Festival 2020 is climate change and green recovery under which two parallel forums were held:Climate Change and Corporate & Social Environmental Responsibility and Risk and Governance of Climate Change. Guests attending the forums carried out in-depth analysis and exposition on the relationship between climate change and green energy, biodiversity and human health, bringing cutting-edge information and replicable excellent cases.

It is described that Handle Climate Change Film Festival (HCCFF) popularizes knowledge, information and dynamics of climate change through film works collection, industry forums, popular science lectures, free film panorama and workshops for capacity building. It reflects the situation, difficulties, actions and effectiveness of countries in addressing climate change from a multi-dimensional perspective. HCCFF mobilizes the whole society to promote energy conservation, emission reduction and green transformation to promote the healthy development of a community with a shared future for mankind. HCCFF has been selected as an excellent case in China's Policies and Actions for Addressing Climate Change issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Ecology and Environment for three consecutive years (2017, 2018 and 2019). Representatives of the HCCFF Organizing Committee have been invited to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference with the Chinese government delegation to demonstrate to the world the actions taken by China's civil society to address climate change for five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.
