Huludao to Promote Development of f the Great Wall National Cultural Park (Huludao Section)

A series of activities themed "Striving for One Hundred Years, Starting the New Journey" was organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Huludao Municipal Committee. The activities are intended to highlight the high-quality development of Huludao’s cultural tourism. Echoing the theme, the media have paid a visit to Jiumenkou (nine gates) Great Wall and Zhuizishan Great Wall. At present, Huludao is vigorously promoting the development of the Great Wall National Cultural Park (Huludao Section) and deepening its value and cultural connotations, in order to attract more tourists with rich culture and nice scenery.

Jiumenkou (nine gates) Great Wall and Zhuizishan Great Wall are both located at the junction of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall between Suizhong County and Jiliao Area. The former sits between Liaoning Province and Hebei Province, and it has witnessed the renowned Yipianshi Battle. Now it has become the national AAAA scenic area featuring patriotism-related education, entertainment and sightseeing. So far, more than 100,000 primary and middle school students around the nation have received patriotism-related education here, and the scenic attraction receives over 500,000 visits every year.

Zhuizishan Great Wall is situated at the junction of the Ji County Great Wall and the Liaodong County Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty. The mountain ridge is steep and presents unique scenery. Now the scenic area has been open to the visitors.

According to the overall planning of developing Huludao's Great Wall National Cultural Park, Huludao will focus on the building of Liaoxi Ming Dynasty Great Wall Cultural Park, and deliver the Landscape Park at the junction of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall between Suizhong County and Jiliao Area, Xingcheng Coastal Defense Blue Great Wall National Cultural Park, Mount Xiaohongluo Green Ecological Great Wall Cultural Park and Mount Zhigu Red Great Wall Cultural Park.
