When Shenyang, China Meets Katowice, Poland: Sister Cities Jointly Promote Development

Days ago when Zhu Gang, director of International Exchange Department of Shenyang People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries was being interviewed, he told the stories about the photos and detailed the people-to-people exchanges of the two cities lasting for many years. Shenyang and Katowice are both famous for industrial development and boast a long history and rich culture. Their friendly exchanges could date back to the 1950s. Ever since Liaoning and Silesia of Poland became sister provinces in 1988, the relations have been growing closer between the two cities.

In June, 2007, Shenyang and Katowice officially became sister cities. Ever since then, they have conducted frequent exchanges in various fields of economy, culture and education.
