Liaoning Province Starts Promotional Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage From June 12

June 12 witnessed the opening of Liaoning's promotional exhibition of intangible cultural heritage on 2021 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day themed on "Intangible Cultural Heritage of the People and Shared by the People".

This year, the event is held in one main venue and multiple sub-venues of cities, combining online and offline modes. It includes the Catalogue Exhibition of the Provincial Revitalization of Traditional Crafts themed on "Hundreds of Years of Art Development, Passing on the Baton of Passion", the second Intangible Cultural Heritage Shopping Festival and Photographic Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage as well as online promotion activities on the 10th anniversary of the enactment of the Law on Intangible Cultural Heritage.

From June 11 to June 13, the event presents virtual exhibitions and livestreams centered on Liaoning Intangible Cultural Heritage Shopping Festival, the Photographic Exhibition of Liaoning's Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage as well as the Photo Exhibition on the 10th anniversary of the enactment of the Law on Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Based on self-media platforms, the online Intangible Cultural Heritage Shopping Festival vigorously promotes Liaoning's cuisines, including Ma's Shao-Mai, Old Hu's Roast Chicken, Dried Tofu of Haicheng Small Wharf and traditional Manchurian snacks. The offline festival has invited inheritors of intangible cultural heritage of finger painting, pyrography, woodcut, pen making and ink stone making to interact with the audience.

The Photographic Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage shows the public the achievements of Liu Zeting, inheritor of Guyuyan Folk Tales, Wang Na, inheritor of puppetry of West Liaoning, Liu Jingchun, inheritor of Lingyuan Shadow Puppetry, and Wang Yunxiu, inheritor of Xiuyan Jade Carving. These achievements have been recorded in photographic works. Moreover, the four inheritors will narrate their experiences of learning and passing down the craftsmanship while showcasing their amazing skills.

Based on self media platforms, online promotion activities on the 10th anniversary of the enactment of the Law on Intangible Cultural Heritage exhibit more than 60 photos recording the elaborate protection of intangible cultural heritage as well as showcase comprehensively the achievements of Liaoning in the protection work.
