"Rays of Light in Memories": 2021 Expert Review of Liaoning-Central and Eastern Europe Photography Exchange Held

July 7 witnessed the launch of expert review of "Rays of Light in Memories" 2021 Liaoning-Central and Eastern Europe Photography Exchange.

"Rays of Light in Memories": 2021 Expert Review of Liaoning-Central and Eastern Europe Photography Exchange Held

"Rays of Light in Memories": 2021 Liaoning-Central and Eastern Europe Photography Exchange was officially launched on Feb 5. By June 5, it had collected almost 1,000 pieces of photographs from 17 Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs). The contributors include teachers, overseas students, entrepreneurs as well as media professionals. 200 pieces of works highlighting either scenery or figures have passed the preliminary assessment and are subject to expert review. 

In addition to collecting and exhibiting the works, the event also deeply explores stories behind the pictures and videos via Monthly Themed Activities of industries and sister cities, drawing great attention at home and abroad. 

The Expert Review Commission is led by Zhao Xinliang, the famous photographer and former Vice-Governor of Liaoning Province, and its members include Shi Chun, Chairman of Liaoning Provincial Photography Artists Association, Li Tiecheng, Executive Vice-Chairman of Liaoning Provincial Photography Artists Association, Jia Junfeng, Secretary-General of Liaoning Provincial Photography Artists Association, and Chen Song, Deputy Secretary-General of Youth Working Committee of Liaoning Provincial Photography Artists Association and Chairman of Northeast Civil Aviation Photographers' Association. According to the results, there will be first-place, second-place and third-place winners for works focusing on sceneries or figures, and some will be recognized as excellent works. 

Lu Peng, Full-Time Vice President of Liaoning Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, noted: "Although our languages are different, pictures will enable cultural exchanges in the best possible way. We will, via the photographic exhibition, further showcase Liaoning's readiness for opening-up, and tell the stories of Liaoning, China well. We will follow the pattern, organize more such activities and forms into a series eventually to promote folk exchanges among nations. At the next stage, we will, according to the requirements of the Expert Review Commission, ensure the smoothness and fairness of the assessment".
