On December 26, Changchun witnessed the launching ceremony of the themed media trip on Jilin's ice and snow industry. At the event, 40 reporters from all levels of media agencies visited Changchun City, Jilin City, Songyuan City and other places, to learn about the development of their ice and snow industry, which signaled the beginning of a joyful rendezvous upon pure ice and snow.

With 40 days to go until the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Winter Games, the themed media trip on Jilin's ice and snow industry, an event co-hosted by China Federation of Internet Societies and Cyberspace Affairs Office of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, with the assistance of China Economic Net, has been officially launched.

Jilin grasps the golden opportunities offered by the preparatory work for the Beijing Olympic Winter Games, leverages its unique natural conditions, makes rapid progress in "turning white snow to silver", and changes "cold" resources to "hot" industry, comprehensively builds the "4 + X" modern economic system of ice and snow, vigorously explores a new path promoting the development of Jilin's featured ice and snow industry, continuously and comprehensively enhances the online promotion of the industry.

Jilin is known as one of the "three powder snow bases in the world" because of its unique natural conditions. At the first stop, the reporters visited Tianding Mountain Ski Resort in Changchun.

Tianding Mountain Ski Resort in Changchun covers 800,000 square meters with a maximum visitor carrying capacity of 5,000. The resort has 17 ski lanes, 2 ropeways and 3 magic carpet lifts, with a total length of about 7.5 kilometers.
