The Fifth China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting held in Shenyang, Liaoning

"Work Together for Common Development and A Shared Future". The Fifth China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting was held through video conference in the afternoon of February 5th in Shenyang, Liaoning.

Liu Ning, Deputy Secretary of Liaoning Committee of the Communist Party of China and Governor of Liaoning Province, delivered a speech at the general meeting. Todorov, Chairman of the Sofia Region of Bulgaria, Lin Songtian, Chairman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Luo Jing, Governor of Zadar, Croatia, and Ambassador Huo Yuzhen, Special Representative of Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered speeches at the general meeting.

Liu Ning said in his speech that, in 2020, Liaoning sent 392 China-Europe trains to 17 CEEC countries, with a total import and export volume of 2.89 billion dollars, and with a total of 32 enterprises who conducted investment in CEEC countries, whose total contractual investment reached 240 million dollars.

Liu Ning put forward four suggestions on the development of full-industry, full-field and full-region cooperation between Liaoning and CEEC countries: focus on improving the level of local cooperation, focus on expanding the scale of bilateral trade, focus on enhancing cultural exchanges, and focus on creating investment and trade convenience.

Todorov and Luo Jing both stated that, under the framework of China-CEEC cooperation, the related parties called for maintaining stability, seeking cooperation and promoting friendship, seizing opportunities for cooperation and making unremitting efforts to create a better world.

The general meeting passed the application of three members including Jilin Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Hubei Province to join China-CEEC Association of Governors of Provinces and Regions.

After the general meeting, the Sixth China-CEEC Working Groups' Meeting of Association of Governors of Provinces and Regions was held in succession.
