On May 8, 2011, the K578 departed from Chengdu East Station to Changsha, marking the beginning of the official operation of Chengdu East Station. With a three-decker design and a streamlined organization, Chengdu East Station became the largest and most advanced railway station in southwest China at that time.

After 10 years of development, there are different means of transport, such as railroad, subway, bus and taxi. During the last "May Day" holiday, about 300,000 passengers a day were sent from Chengdu East Station. While 10 years ago in May, when Chengdu East Station was first put into operation, the number of passengers sent from Chengdu East Station was about 3,000 a day. From "3,000" to "300,000", the station has made a brilliant leap on the number of passengers.
