"Silk Road E-Commerce" Has Become the New Channel and Driving Force of Mutual Economic and Trade Cooperation

On May 11, Xi'an witnessed the Fifth Silk Fair 2021 Silk Road E-Commerce Cooperation (Xi'an) Roundtable. The meeting was themed on "To Keep Open the Channel of Trade Cooperation, To Share Business Opportunities of the Silk Road E-Commerce", and present were international ambassadors from 21 countries, including partners of "Silk Road E-Commerce" and countries along the Belt and Road, as well as representatives of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The participants exchanged ideas and were ready to further implement the Belt and Road Initiative and promote practical cooperation.

After the meeting, Teymur Nadiroghlu, Trade Representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the People's Republic of China and Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary, and Natalia Cortés García, Trade Commissioner of the Embassy of Chile to the People's Republic of China received the interview of CRI Online Shaanxi Channel. 

Teymur Nadiroghlu stated: "'Silk Road E-Commerce' has become the new driving force of the Belt and Road Initiative. Enterprises in Shaanxi and China at large have plentiful experience in developing e-commerce. We hope to promote the development of cross-border e-commerce together with Shaanxi in the future".

Natalia Cortés García believed that the Belt and Road Initiative has remarkably promoted international economic and trade cooperation. She noted: "Chile earnestly supports the 'Belt and Road' Initiative. The initiative will not only further drive trade growth of China and Chile, but also continuously enhance financial connectivity, logistics and transport cooperation as well as the friendship between the two countries".

Now "Silk Road E-Commerce" has already become the new channel and driving force of mutual economic and trade cooperation. This roundtable conference has shown that nations around the globe are ready to explore the new cooperation models featuring mutual benefits and win-win results, and it will inject more vitality into the global economic recovery.
