Yubei District, Chongqing: To Comprehensively Improve People's Livelihood

In recent years, based on the principle of continuing developing a national civilized urban area, Yubei District, Chongqing has been facilitating the construction in the areas of transportation, household, living environment, education, culture, public health, sports, rural environment improvement, and water safety, creating a favorable environment for people in Yubei District to live a better life.

Among that, in terms of the better transportation, Yubei District has continuously improved the infrastructure construction, and strengthened the standardization of traffic management.  

As for environment improvement,Yubei District has kept improving urban ecological environment and people's livelihood in rural areas. Up to now, Yubei District has renovated 17 thousand old houses in rural areas, implemented 20 projects on improvement of the surrounding area. The “sponge city” has reached the standard area of 23.8 square kilometers in total. 

Yubei District strives to implement the shanty towns transformation, and does a good job in the affordable housing work such as public rental and low-rent housing in terms of the livable construction projects. Besides that, Yubei District has adopted a new management system called "Internet plus the low-income housing" to ensure the safety of housing environment.
