At the end of June, 2021, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport will be put into operation. At present, on the green space in front of the new airport terminal, a huge lovely panda sculpture appeared in front of people.

The "giant panda" is 15 meters long, 11 meters wide and 12 meters high, with 620 square meters surface area. It is made of 16,000 stainless steel forged pieces, and its name is "Tuantuan". The panda's overall shape is full and round with a good implication of unity and perfection.

It is said that the designer got inspiration from the art of Sichuan Opera face-changing. When the gentle wind blowing, each stainless steel forged piece of the "panda" will move in the wind. Its eyes will also keep on rolling, being vivid. It is very similar to the unique skill in Sichuan Opera face-changing.
