2021 Sichuan Chengdu Traditional Craft (Bamboo Weaving) Invitational Tournament Held in Qionglai City

Recently, the 2021 Sichuan Chengdu Traditional Craft (Bamboo Weaving) Invitational Tournament was held in Pingle Ancient Town, Qionglai City, southwest China’s Sichuan Province.

This competition aims to promote the inheritance and protection of traditional crafts, revitalize the innovation and development of the crafts, and promote its integration with creative design and contemporary life.

During the competition, strips of bamboo pieces swiftly shuttled back and forth between competitors’ nimble fingers. The bamboo art products in novel, beautiful and practical styles attracted the praise of citizens. After nearly 2 hours of selection, 15 partipants were awarded "Artisan Stars", 16 were awarded "Creative Stars" and 10 "Stars of hope".

In addition to the bamboo weaving competition, bamboo weaving training, bamboo weaving and rural revitalization seminars and other related activities were also held during the event.
