Shandong Province Appoints 19 International Trade and Investment Advisors

On the afternoon of December 21, Jinan, Shandong witnessed Conference of the International Trade and Investment Advisory Council for Shandong Province 2021. The conference was hosted by Shandong Provincial People's Government and jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shandong Sub-council, Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government and Department of Commerce of Shandong Province. 

Shandong Province has established the mechanism of Conference of the International Trade and Investment Advisory Council for Shandong Province, with the aim to pool global wisdom and share experience, promote scientific decision-making, advance high-level opening-up to the outside world, better serve and get integrated into the new development pattern. It has appointed the first batch of international trade and investment advisors comprising 19 members, namely Alexander Kalinin, President of All-Russian Non-Governmental Organization of Small and Medium Business "OPORA RUSSIA", Jim McDonald, Principal and Vice Chancellor of University of Strathclyde, President of Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, Hiroshi Onomura, Executive Vice President of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Antoine Simonnet, Chief Supply Chain Officer of HP Inc., Gordon Riske, CEO of KION Group AG, Sukanto Tanoto, Chairman of RGE Group (Singapore), Honorary President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Businessmen, Tan Sri Lim Gait Tong, Chairman and Chief Executive of FarlimGroup (Malaysia) Bh, Kiyoshi Otsubo, Vice Chairman of Japan Kansai Economic Federation, Kiyoyuki Seguchi, Research Director of Canon Institute for Global Studies, Sim Jai Sun, President of Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Korea, Yoon Doson, CEO of CJ China, Dr. Gu Chunyuan, Chairman of ABB China, Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA), Jürgen Schmitz, CEO of ERGO China, Honson To, Chairman of KPMG Asia Pacific and Chairman of KPMG China, Li Tao, Vice President and Head of Government & Public Affairs of Philips Greater China, Zhou Tao, President of Royal DSM China, Gu Wei, Head of Continental BU CVS China, Vice President of Continental BA VNI China, Antonio Bruzzone, CEO, BolognaFiere Group, Italy, and Dr. Efren Calvo Adame, Executive President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM).

At the conference, Zhou Naixiang, governor of Shandong Province, awarded certificates to 19 international trade and investment advisors for Shandong Province. They had in-depth exchanges and jointly planned high-quality development of Shandong in the new era.
