Citizens in Tonglu, Hangzhou Welcome the Asian Games

On February 21, a crowd in "Chinese red" was dancing in an orderly manner at the Central Plaza of Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. This is a dancing phalanx of over 300 dance enthusiasts to kick off the Tonglu session of the 200-day Countdown to the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 (Asian Games 2022).

In addition to dance, the sports performances on-site were also wonderful. Spinning, Zumba, adult Latin dance and so on have pushed the atmosphere of the event to one climax after another.

The area around the Clock Tower of the Central Plaza was also bustling with people of all ages who played delightfully with table tennis and showcased their high level of fancy skating skills on the rink... The scene was full of Asian Games elements.

At the "Get to Know Asian Games" exhibition, citizens learned about the history of the Asian Games by watching display boards and listening to presentations by volunteers.

Liu Bin, Director of the Sports Association Department of the Bureau of Culture, Broadcast-TV, Tourism and Sports of Tonglu County, said that at this important point of the 200-day countdown to the Asian Games 2022, Tonglu County, as the venue of the equestrian events of the Asian Games 2022, holds the 200-day Countdown to the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 in parallel with the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee. Different types of sports and fitness programs were organized for everyone to experience, and the "one thousand people dance together" activity created a strong atmosphere to welcome the Asian Games 2022.

The event attracted a total of more than a thousand people to participate and brought the spirit of Asian Games, sports and vitality to every corner of the county, igniting the sports enthusiasm of all citizens and presenting the human and culture landscape of Tonglu County.
