Yan Ziling Fishing Platform Scenic Area in Tonglu, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Provides a New Immersive Tour

At the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, "Remembering Jiangnan", a program that integrates music, dance, poem and painting, has brought to life the painting of "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains". Inspired by the "Remembering Jiangnan", the Yan Ziling Fishing Platform Scenic Area (the Scenic Area) in Tonglu County, Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang Province created an immersive live show presenting the mountains and rivers in the "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains" during the May Day holiday. The live show impresses itself on the tourists by once again bringing the painting to real life.

The Immersive Live Show

In the Scenic Area, tourists meet from time to time fishermen, scholars, ladies and woodcutters dressed in ancient costumes. Every one of them is relaxed and enjoys themselves, fishing by the river, playing reed, cooking tea by the spring, resting by the roadside, cutting wood in the mountains or chatting under a pine tree. Tourists feel as if they were in the "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains", with endless curiosity and delight.

The Spot of the Performance

The show, under the theme of "Still Fuchun Mountains" and against the mountains and rivers in the Scenic Area, revitalizes the profound cultural history of Tonglu County, displaying the peaceful and leisurely life of the dwellers along the Fuchun River during the Song and Yuan dynasties. A total of 12 spots are selected with 12 scenarios designed and more than 20 professional actors are invited.

At the scene, tourists walk slowly to enjoy the wonderful shows, which make them linger and experience the slow-paced life depicted in the "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains".

"It is our first try to provide such a form of tour in the Yan Ziling Fishing Platform Scenic Area," Liang Hui, head of the Scenic Area, said, "From the feedback of tourists, the immersive experience has been a success.
