Zhejiang Tonglu Equestrian Eventing Invitational Competition 2022 Officially Kicks Off

On June 7, "Exciting Hangzhou" Tonglu Equestrian Eventing Invitational Competition 2022, a three-day event, officially kicked off in Tonglu Equestrian Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China.

It is reported that nine players competed in this invitational with their nine race horses. National industry associations, relevant provincial and municipal government agencies, relevant business teams of Asian Games Organizing Committee, operation teams of Asian Games venues, and local audiences were invited to watch and observe the competition, with around 1,600 participants and spectators being involved.

On the afternoon of that day, after the addressing of leaders at all levels as well as the solemn oaths by the representatives of athletes and referees, Mr. Yang Xubiao, deputy head of Zhejiang Provincial Asian Games Steering Group and director of General Affairs Office of Zhejiang Provincial Asian Games Steering Group, announced the official opening of this invitational, which also revealed the curtain of the first round of show jumping competition.

Before the competition, players and their race horses preliminarily got acquainted with each other after two days of running-in.  

In addition to the players and their race horses, 102 recruited volunteers of the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 also participated in this test event. Hu Chenjun, one of the volunteers, said, "Although a whole day's work has worn me out, it is a fruitful journey for me. This test event can make us feel the atmosphere of the Asian Games in advance and prepare us well for the upcoming Asian Games."

As a test covering "all factors, all procedures, and all processes", this invitational aims to comprehensively check the preparatory work at the early stage, and test all processes as well as the systems in all fields. Through the careful preparations before the test event, the well-conceived operation during the event, and the comprehensive review after the event, we aim to be well prepared for the real competitions of the Asian Games.
