Zhejiang Tonglu Holds Rural 'Children's Palace—Rejuvenation' Site Visit

On July 2nd, the Rural "Children's Palace—Rejuvenation" Site Visit and "One Children's Palace One Course—Have Fun in Summer Vacation" Events Launch Ceremony was jointly held in Jiuxian Sub-district by the Office of the Committee for Guiding Ethical and Cultural Progress, Education Bureau, Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and Chinese Communist Youth League Committee of Tonglu County, with series of "One Children's Palace One Course—Have Fun in Summer Vacation" courses at the town and county levels introduced.

On the same day, students from Jiuxian Central School in Tonglu County, Zhejiang Province flooded into the newly-built "Children's Palace—Rejuvenation" just after participating in the "Back to School Day" activities organized by the school.

At the end of May 2021, Tonglu County was selected to pilot the building of rural "Children's Palace—Rejuvenation" by the Office of the Central Commission for Guiding Ethical and Cultural Progress. Over the past year, by fully leveraging the advantages of the pilot program of building a center for promoting cultural and ethical advancement in the new era, Tonglu County has built and upgraded 27 demo "Children's Palaces—Rejuvenation" in its townships, towns and sub-districts, allowing rural minors to access "Children's Palaces—Rejuvenation" close to their homes.

At the ceremony, Tonglu County Curriculum Research and Development Center  rolled out "One Children's Palace One Course" courses from the perspective of moral grounding, intellectual ability, physical vigor, aesthetic sensibility, and work skills, and two respective non-profit summer camp routes. "Children's Palaces—Rejuvenation" in Tonglu, based on their own reality, have created and released 49 courses, including the "Gourd Pyrography", "Traditional Martial Arts" and "Poetic Youth", helping children in Tonglu County to live a full life in summer vacation.
