The People's Government of Tonglu County and COSCO Shipping Global Exhibition Services (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (COSCO Shipping Exhibition) signed a cooperative agreement on the Open at the press conference, marking the start of official cooperation, after two sides signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on September 15, 2022. The signing of the cooperative agreement opens a new chapter in joint efforts of Tonglu and COSCO Shipping Exhibition to deliver a major international equestrian event, symbolizing a new height in the bilateral cooperation.

Xia Jiliang, head of the operation team at the Tonglu Equestrian Center, briefed on Tonglu at the press conference, and said that Tonglu would provide more convenient services and an optimal environment for the Open, and make every effort to participate in the preparations of the equestrian event of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, so as to contribute more to a successful, excellent equestrian event. Meanwhile, he hopes that the hosting of the equestrian event can attract more projects related to equine industry to be carried out in Tonglu, in an effort to build Tonglu into a cluster of equestrian industry, a demonstration site of horse-based tourism, and a destination for horse-loving people.

Since the implementation of the 2022 Asian Games' equestrian project, Tonglu has been fully committed to organizing a "simple, safe and splendid" sport event, and building a high-standard Tonglu Equestrian Center with two large quarantine fields for horses, laying a solid foundation for the big equestrian event.
