Hangzhou Tonglu Holds the March 5 Remembrance Day of Learning from Lei Feng and Launch Ceremony for 'Contributing to Cultural-Ethical Progress and Welcoming Asian Games through Volunteering'

On March 4, the March 5 Remembrance Day of Learning from Lei Feng and Launch Ceremony for "Contributing to Cultural-Ethical Progress and Welcoming Asian Games through Volunteering" was held on the Central Square of Tonglu County, Hangzhou City. 

Event Site

At the event site, older, middle-aged and young volunteers were awarded the ambassador for "Mother River Protection" volunteer services, and 27 "Asian Games V-stations" were officially put into use. In addition, the event commended the most beautiful volunteer organizations, the most beautiful volunteers, the most beautiful primary-level volunteer stations for cultural-ethical advancement in the new era, and excellent youth volunteer projects.

Representatives of volunteers and citizens call on the public and young volunteers across the county, hand in hand, to strive to become the role models of civility, hospitable hosts, and promoters of common prosperity, and to actively participate in the Asian Games volunteer activities with full enthusiasm.

At the end of the launch ceremony, flags were conferred to six newly-established volunteer action teams, namely the Ethical Asian Games, Young Asian Games, Asian Games in Tonglu, Green Asian Games, Asian Games for Common Prosperity, and Asian Games Told by Tonglu. It symbolizes that Tonglu County fully advances six actions of urban volunteer services themed "Moving forward with the Times and Dedicating to Asian Games", to add splendor to the Asian Games through superb volunteer services.

After the launch ceremony, the volunteer service fair for commemorating the March 5 Lei Feng Day on the square was eye-catching. More than a hundred volunteers provided citizens with volunteer services such as free hairdressing, science education on agriculture, and free clinics.
