Strength of Youth in Xi'an: Eurasia Youth Leaders Forum Takes Place

The Eurasia Youth Leaders Forum, held on September 23 as planned, aimed to foster mutual learning among civilizations and promote mutually beneficial cooperation between Europe and Asia. The forum, sponsored by the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (GNFCC SCO) and Xi'an Municipal People's Government, was organized by the Communist Youth League of CPC Xi'an Municipal Committee, Secretariat of Euro-Asia Economic Forum (Xi'an Expo & Conference Affairs Center), Foreign Affairs Office of Xi'an Municipal People's Government, and Xi'an Youth Federation. 

The forum witnessed the participation of 16 young individuals from various countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. These international representatives converged in Xi'an to engage in the exchange of ideas and discussions with their young Chinese counterparts. The topics discussed encompassed AI, digital economy, talent development, sustainable development, and global public governance.

During the round-table forum on science and technology, young representatives from Europe and Asia emphasized the significance of international cooperation among young people. They highlighted that such cooperation fosters the exchange of knowledge and experience, establishes international partnerships, and plays a pivotal role in promoting global harmony and sustainable development.

Xi'an Initiative of Eurasia Youth Leaders Forum released on-site

With the objective of fostering idea exchange and cooperation among young individuals in Europe and Asia, the Xi'an Initiative was officially released during the event. This initiative aims to highlight the potential of young people in strengthening people-to-people connections, establish a sustainable Eurasian youth partnership, and create a vibrant hub for young talent in support of the Belt and Road Initiative.
