On the morning of October 23, the spouses of several ambassadors to China visited Weiyang district of Xi'an, participating in the See You in Xi'an on Silk Road - The 2nd Themed Trip to Xi'an for Foreign Ambassadors' Spouses. They glimpsed the history of the Western Han Dynasty in Hancheng Lake scenic area, explored the profound Han cultural connotations, visited the bustling Sihai Chinatown, and were fully immersed in the unique charm of Weiyang's rich culture and history.

"This is a place with great historical heritage. I feel that every object here is of historical significance," commented BOKPE EPSE ADOVELANDE Christiane, the spouse of Benin's ambassador to China. "The details of the Han Dynasty here have all unfolded before my eyes. Every country has its own history, and we should be thinking about how to inherit it, how to bring it alive, and how to communicate with other countries. That is what also impresses me most about China."

The visitors also took a trip to Sihai's "Chinatown", which is the first Chinese-culture-themed block in Xi'an. With its strong artistic and cultural atmosphere, distinctive architecture and immersive cultural performances harking back to the Han Dynasty, as well as the omnipresent image of local icon Tang Dou, the place quickly left a powerful impression on the visitors.

Rich and abundant cultural tourism resources make for both aesthetically pleasing and highly artistic immersive cultural tourism. Emerging new cultural trademarked images are also allowing Weiyang District's cultural tourism industry to constantly develop new integration paths, and further enhance the city's overall tourism brand: "Welcome to Chang'an".
