On October 23, the spouses of ambassadors from Benin, Gabon, Ghana, Mali, Nicaragua and other countries to China visited Fangxin Primary School and the Hancheng Community Health Service Center in Weiyang District of Xi'an. While there, they experienced some of the ways that people's livelihoods are rapidly being improved, and witnessed the highly livable environment and high quality of life of this ancient city.

At Fangxin Primary School, the visitors were warmly welcomed by students, who also put on a bugle performance. The school, with its traditional culture exhibition corridor, high-tech teaching buildings, vibrant student performances and rich extracurricular activities, demonstrated its focus on "cultivation" education, and research, as well as its development as a humanistic and artistic school.

BOKPE EPSE ADOVELANDE Christiane, the spouse of Benin's ambassador to China, introduced her own country and its culture to the students, with a unique class on the Silk Road winning applause from students. People gathered in Class 6 of the 3rd Grade to enjoy this cultural interaction between China and other nations, brought together by the modern Belt and Road.

At the traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment center, visitors tried some black plum juice made with traditional Chinese medicinal ingredients, as well as experiencing a pulse diagnosis, massage therapy, and acupuncture using infrared rays. They found this different eastern medicine both mysterious and somewhat magical, and the experience ignited sincere curiosity.
