"Come to Zhouzhi and See the Pandas" Cultural and Tourism Resources Promotional Conference Held

On the afternoon of October 26, Zhouzhi County, Xi'an played host to two great events: the 2nd "See You on the Silk Road in Xi'an" Tour for Ambassadors' Wives and the "Come to Zhouzhi and See the Pandas" Cultural and Tourism Resources Promotional Conference.

The wives of ambassadors from Gabon, Ghana, Mali, and Nicaragua, among others joined international guests from Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Turkmenistan to receive the International Recommendation Officer (IRO) of Zhouzhi Cultural Tourism paper cuttings, elevating the panda to the position of friendship ambassador and promoting Zhouzhi as a viable global cultural tourism destination.

In recent years, Zhouzhi County has worked hard to create its own vibrant regional tourism brand, drawing on local resources to eventually craft its own distinct message: "Zhouzhi – Abundance in Variety, Straight from the Source". The message has reached its target, with Shahe Water Street, the Louguan and Heihe Scenic Spots, Qinling National Botanical Garden, and the Qinling Four Rare Animals Science Park winning over the hearts and minds of tourists and the 2023 titles for Most Beautiful Rural Tourism City and Best Health Tourism City.

One reason for Zhouzhi's success has been the way it has managed to tie rural tourism, study tours, and unique getaways together into a cohesive whole to improve the rural economy while breathing new life into local intangible cultural heritage such as Qinqiang opera, paper cuttings, and traditional Xi'an wind and percussion.

The 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative is the perfect time for Zhouzhi County to welcome more visitors to partake in the unique charm of its rural revitalization and integration of culture and tourism.
