【Hi, Shandong】 Foreign Media Experience Unique Humanistic Charm in Dongying City

“Hi, Shandong--Foreign Media’s Tour to Cultural Dongying” wrapped up in Dongying, Shandong Province. This interview trip, held from March 12 to 13, was organized by the Information Office of Dongying Municipal People’s Government and CRI Online Shandong. During the two-day tour, nine oversea journalists from Cambodia, South Korea, Russia, Türkiye and Vietnam visited Sun Tzu Cultural Park, Yellow River Culture Museum and Dongying Lyu Opera Museum to explore the rich history and cultural values of the city.

At Sun Tzu Cultural Park, foreign journalists visited the Palace of Military Sage and ancient weapons exhibition hall, where they experienced the unique charm of traditional military culture.

They also experienced the handmade processes of Guangrao Qi writing brushes at Le’an Ancient Town of Sun Tzu Cultural Park.

At the Yellow River Culture Museum, also the local branch of China Local Chronicles Museum, they had an all-round view of Dongying and the Yellow River Estuary, and learned about the glorious culture of the Yellow River Basin in ancient and modern times.

The last stop falls on Dongying Lyu Opera Museum, where they enjoyed opera performances and put on professional costumes, having an immersive experience of Lyu Opera.

Through unique foreign media perspectives and lenses, this event showed Dongying’s culture to the world, including the profound Lyu Opera culture, the long-standing Yellow River culture, and the traditional Chinese culture containing the thoughts and wisdom of military strategists. It spread the voice of Dongying to the global community.
