Track Cycling of China's 14th National Games to Begin on September 10 in Luoyang

The venue of the track cycling competition of the 14th National Games of the People's Republic of China from September 10 to 14, Luoyang Sports Center in Luoyang of north China's Henan Province, is at its final stage of reconstruction and will soon be put into operation.

The National Games of the People's Republic of China, held once every four years, is the highest-level, largest and most complete comprehensive sports event in China. It undertakes the important task of training and selecting talents for China's Olympic strategy. This year the Games are undertaken in Shaanxi Province in September, and the track cycling competition, one of the 28 major sectors, will be hosted in Luoyang.

It's said that the track cycling competition will be further divided into team sprint women, team sprint men, team pursuit women, team pursuit men, women's 250-meter time trial, sprint men, sprint women, omnium men (four stages included), omnium women (four stages included), 2.5- kilometer Madison women, 30- kilometer Madison men, Keiren women and Keiren women. A total of 254 athletes of 21 teams sent by provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities throughout the country, together with HKSAR and Macao will participate in the event.
