Since August 10th, due to the ongoing storms in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, the water level of the Qingyi River, Mingshan River, Lushan River, and Baoxing River has risen. The precipitation level of some areas has exceeded their historical peak. Due to storms, floods, landslides, mudslides and other disasters, some roads, houses, farmland, power facilities, etc. have been damaged to varying degrees and a large number of people have been trapped. Lushan County, Baoxing County, Yucheng District, and Tianquan County, etc. have been severely affected.

After the floods, the Ya'an Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government responded immediately by taking the lead and carrying out emergency response. The main responsible of each county (district) went to the front line and took their positions. Cadres and masses joined forces together , minimizing the losses and protecting people's lives and property.
