Stage design of The Voice of the Silk Road
The Voice of the Silk Road is a musical themed on the "Silk Road". Focusing on the idea of "integrating diverse cultures", the musical has learned from Broadway art in content creation, theatre design, and stage performances as well as bold innovation in line with the local conditions. The Voice of the Silk Road will, in the form of Broadway musical, review the splendid Silk Road culture from a western perspective. It is a story about a Chinese teenager who grows up in the Western society. He travels back to Chang'an of the Han Dynasty 2000 years ago. Against the grand historical picture of the Han Dynasty, the growth of this Chinese teenager reflects the changes of the times. From July 23 to July 25, 2021, the musical will present five global premieres at Shaanxi Grand Theatre in total, lasting for three days. Eventually, the on-site performances will be presented at Silk Road Paradise for a long time.
