Sichuan Tianfu New Area: A Park City and A City of Future

In recent years, Sichuan Tianfu New Area, since its first-ever proposal of the concept of the "Park City", has been focusing on "building a Park City pioneering area that implements new development concepts", and exploring solutions for solving problems for the construction of it. The area has been witnessing changes with each passing day.

In Tianfu New Area, the concept of the "Park City" is not only reflected in a series of significant planning documents but also showcased as a vivid scene that the public can see and feel. On the shore of Xinglong Lake with a water area of 4,500 mu (equal to 3 sq.km), fluttering birds, passing tourists, towering buildings, and many scientific and technological innovation institutions and enterprises can be found around the lake, showing the perfect integration of technology and nature.

Since the completion of the comprehensive water ecology improvement project in October 2021, the re-opened Xinglong Lake in Tianfu New Area has become a popular site. Focusing on green planning, green power, green economy and green governance, Tianfu New Area strives to explore a sustainable development path for the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, blaze out a new path for green and low-carbon development. Tianfu New Area also manages to, with its green potential, refine its image as the first area in China proposing the concept of the "Park City".

One of the principals of Tianfu New Area said that, as China's first nationally-approved comprehensive pilot area of national standardization of Park Cities, the area will continue to work on the Park City project and build a "city of future".
