On July 18, the China-Laos Cooperation Forum was held both online and offline, with the main venue set in Shenyang.

Liaoning is both a coastal area and a border city. It is a vital part of China's efforts to connect with Northeast Asia and the Eurasian Land Bridge. In April this year, the "pioneering" China-Laos Railway (Shenyang-Vientiane) was opened to traffic, creating a new chapter of direct railway connection and investment and cooperation in economy and trade between Shenyang and Vientiane.

Xu Ningning, Chairman of the RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee and Executive President of the China-ASEAN Business Council, put forward three suggestions on strengthening economic cooperation between China and Laos in his speech. Firstly, the two sides should promote the building of a China-Laos community with a shared future. Second, they need to enhance economic and trade complementarities. Third, they can mobilize all parties to participate in cooperation.

Pang Baoguo, Chairman of CCPIT Liaoning Sub-Council, and Chairman of CCOIC Liaoning Chamber, hoped that CCPIT Liaoning Sub-Council and the Lao business community can work together and establish deeper bonds to promote the bilateral economic and trade development, and boost trade and investment facilitation. Meanwhile, the two sides are encouraged to carry out practical cooperation through the "Invest in Liaoning" platform sponsored by CCPIT Liaoning Sub-Council, in order to inject impetus into the economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos.
